- Men and women between the ages of 40 and 99 who are generally in reasonably good health
- People who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (confirmed by a doctor)
- People who have been diagnosed with a sleep condition called REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD), as long as they have NOT also been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, Lewy body dementia, or multiple system atrophy

Who may not be able to join:

- People who are currently receiving treatment for colon cancer (those who finished treatment at least 30 days ago may be eligible — confirm with trial site)
- People who currently have an active, ongoing illness affecting their digestive system
- People who have had abdominal surgery recently (confirm with trial site for exact timeframe)
- People who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant before their scheduled colonoscopy
- People who have significant memory or thinking difficulties, as assessed by the research team
