Males and females of any age (infants, children, teenagers, and adults) who have been diagnosed with a type of hearing loss called conductive or mixed hearing loss in one or both ears
Males and females of any age who attend Atrium Health-Audiology for a routine clinic visit and have been diagnosed with conductive or mixed hearing loss, including those who currently wear hearing aids
Males and females of any age who have been identified as suitable candidates for certain types of hearing aids (bone-anchored or wearable) or for ear surgery to improve hearing
Males and females of any age who do not have conductive or mixed hearing loss (these individuals may participate as healthy comparison subjects)
People who are pregnant may be eligible, as fitting hearing aids during pregnancy is considered standard safe care

Adults who are not able to independently understand what the study involves and what will happen during it, or who do not wish to take part
