Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older (male or female)
- People who have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis by a specialist doctor (rheumatologist) and are currently taking medication to manage the disease (either a standard or biological type of disease-modifying drug)
- People who have moderate-to-high levels of depression, measured by a score between 10 and 20 on a standard questionnaire called the PHQ-8, OR high levels of anxiety measured by a score above 10 on a questionnaire called the GAD-7
- People who speak English or Spanish
- People who have access to the internet, a computer, and/or a smartphone
- People who live in any US state, including Puerto Rico
- People who are willing to work with a peer coach or coach as part of the trial
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a rheumatic disease other than Rheumatoid Arthritis, such as psoriatic arthritis, gout, or lupus
- People who live in a nursing home
- People who have a history of dementia or significant memory or thinking problems
- People who are currently confined to bed and unable to get up
- People with severe depression, defined as a score above 20 on the PHQ-8 questionnaire
