Who may be able to join

  • People who are willing to give their informed consent to participate.
  • People who are willing to follow all study procedures and are available for the full duration of the study.
  • People who are at least 45 years old.
  • People who are already enrolled in either the Wisconsin Registry for Alzheimer's Prevention (WRAP) or the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center Clinical Core (ADRC) program.
  • People whose most recent WRAP or ADRC study visit assessment found them to have either unimpaired cognition, mild cognitive impairment (MCI), or some cognitive changes that do not fully meet the criteria for MCI or dementia (sometimes called "Impaired-Not MCI").
  • People who have already completed, or are able to complete, specialised brain scans (called amyloid and/or tau PET scans) as part of a University of Wisconsin Alzheimer's Research Study.

Who may not be able to join

Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.

  • People who have already been diagnosed with dementia at the time of joining the trial, based on their most recent WRAP or ADRC diagnostic assessment (note: people who develop dementia after joining the trial may be able to remain enrolled, provided they can still make their own decisions and follow study instructions — confirm with trial site).
  • People who are found to have significant difficulty understanding the study materials and procedures during the consent process, meaning they are unable to provide informed consent on their own behalf.
  • People who the trial investigators determine are not suitable for other reasons at their discretion (confirm with trial site).

Important: Always verify eligibility with the trial site directly before applying.
