Who might be able to join this trial:
This trial has two separate groups (called "cohorts"). Please check which group may apply to you:
Group 1 – Cancer Immunotherapy Group (ICI cohort):
- You are about to start or have just started treatment with one or two immune checkpoint inhibitor (immunotherapy) drugs, following standard medical guidelines
- You have never previously been treated with this type of immunotherapy drug
- You are 18 years of age or older
Group 2 – Autoimmune Disease Group (SAD cohort):
- You have been formally diagnosed with one or more of the following conditions: Lupus (SLE), Primary Sjögren's Syndrome, Systemic Sclerosis, or Inflammatory Muscle Disease (confirm with trial site)
- You are 18 years of age or older
Who may not be able to join:
Group 1 – Cancer Immunotherapy Group:
- Doctors estimate your life expectancy to be less than 3 months from when treatment begins
- You are currently also receiving chemotherapy, targeted cancer drugs, or other specific cancer treatments alongside immunotherapy
- You have a known serious reaction to immunotherapy drugs, a severe active autoimmune condition, or are significantly limited in your daily physical functioning (confirm with trial site)
- You are currently taking immune-suppressing medications, including steroid doses higher than 10 mg of prednisone per day (or an equivalent dose of another steroid)
Group 2 – Autoimmune Disease Group:
- Doctors estimate your life expectancy to be less than 3 months from the start of the study
- You are currently taking immune-suppressing medications, including steroid doses higher than 10 mg of prednisone per day (or an equivalent dose of another steroid)
- You have been diagnosed with cancer within the last year (except for certain common skin cancers), or you are currently receiving active cancer treatment
