Who may be able to join

  • Teenagers aged 12–17 or adults aged 18 and older who attend a participating primary care clinic or high school in Morocco.
  • People who show meaningful signs of depression and/or anxiety based on screening questionnaires (called the PHQ-9 and/or GAD-7), at the levels set by the study.
  • People who are able to understand what the study involves and agree to take part (for teenagers, a parent or guardian must also give their agreement).
  • People who are planning to stay in the local area for at least 12 months.

Who may not be able to join

Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.

  • People experiencing an acute psychiatric emergency that requires immediate specialist care, such as psychosis, a high-risk suicidal crisis, or severe problems with substance use.
  • People with a cognitive impairment or serious medical condition that would prevent them from taking part in the study activities or assessments.
  • People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial focused on mental health treatment.
  • People where the trial investigator judges that joining the trial would be unsafe or otherwise inappropriate for any reason.

Important: Always verify eligibility with the trial site directly before applying.

Based on publicly available eligibility criteria from ClinicalTrials.gov. Verify directly with the trial site before acting. This is not medical advice.

This is a simplified plain English summary of the eligibility criteria. Full criteria are set by the trial investigators and may include additional requirements not shown here. Never self-exclude from a trial based on this summary. Contact the trial site directly to confirm your eligibility.

This study is not part of the standard drug-approval phase pathway (for example an observational, device, behavioural, or registry study), so a phase success rate does not apply.
