Who might be able to join this trial:

Part 1 (Healthy Volunteers):

  • You are a man or woman between 18 and 55 years old (inclusive)
  • You weigh at least 50 kg (if male) or at least 45 kg (if female), and your body mass index (a measure of body weight relative to height) is between 18.5 and 28.0
  • You have no significant health problems found during initial check-up tests

Part 2 (Patients):

  • You are a man or woman between 18 and 55 years old (inclusive)
  • You have been diagnosed by a doctor with long-term sinusitis (inflammation of the sinuses), with or without nasal polyps (small growths inside the nose)
  • You have had the following symptoms for more than 4 weeks before the screening visit: a blocked nose, a runny nose with thick mucus, pain or pressure in the face, and a reduced or lost sense of smell
  • Examination of your nose using a small camera shows a score of 2 or higher in each nostril (confirm with trial site)
  • A CT scan (a detailed type of X-ray) of your sinuses shows a score of 2 or higher in each nostril (confirm with trial site)
  • A nasal blockage measurement score of 2 or higher (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

Part 1 & Part 2:

  • You have a known allergy or medical reason why you cannot take the study drug or any of its ingredients
  • You have a history or current health condition that could affect how safe the drug is for you or how your body absorbs it (Part 1 only — confirm with trial site)
  • You have a history of misusing or being dependent on drugs
  • You have taken part in another clinical trial and received an experimental drug within the past 12 weeks (or longer, depending on the drug) before your screening visit
  • You are a woman who is currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study
  • You are currently taking or have recently taken medications that are not allowed in this study (Part 2 only — confirm with trial site for details)
