Who might be able to join this trial:
- People whose main health concern is tinnitus — meaning they hear sounds in their ears or inside their head when no external sound is present.
- People with long-term tinnitus lasting more than 6 months, a tinnitus impact score of 38 or higher on a standard questionnaire (called the THI), and whose tinnitus has not improved with standard medications.
- People who are outpatients at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital and are able to attend 5 consecutive days of the study treatment.
- People whose tinnitus tone falls within a frequency range of 125 Hz to 8000 Hz (confirm with trial site if unsure how this applies).
- People aged between 18 and 70 years.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose tinnitus is linked to conductive hearing loss, previous middle ear surgery, a pulse-like sound caused by abnormal blood vessels, or Ménière's disease.
- People with a history of head injury, brain or nervous system conditions, mental health disorders, or substance misuse.
- People who are pregnant.
