- People who may have a long-term condition where too much carbon dioxide builds up in the blood (confirm with trial site)
- People with unstable heart or cardiovascular conditions, or a specific type of eye condition affecting the optic nerve (confirm with trial site)
- People with beards who are not willing to shave the small area of hair directly below their lower lip
- People with conditions that affect the movement of the jaw joint (the joint in front of the ear that allows the mouth to open and close)
- People who are not able to give their own informed consent to take part
- People who are currently admitted to hospital as an inpatient
- People who are unwilling or unable to follow the study procedures
- People who have previously noted in their medical records that they do not wish to be involved in research or do not want to receive digital communications

Primary endpoints
The proportion of patients for which a definitive management decision can be made when tested with Sunrise will be determined and compared to that of oximetry and WatchPAT 300.
