Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have breast cancer that has spread to the liver, confirmed by surgery or biopsy.
  • People with advanced breast cancer where the cancer that has spread to organs is found only in the liver, as confirmed by medical imaging.
  • People who have already tried at least two previous standard treatments (such as hormone therapy, chemotherapy, or targeted therapy) without success, or where the treating doctors determine that local treatment of the liver would be more beneficial.
  • People aged between 18 and 70 years old.
  • People who are reasonably physically active — able to care for themselves and carry out light activities, even if unable to do strenuous physical work or any work at all (this is measured on a medical scale from 0 to 2, where 0 means fully active and 2 means able to self-care but unable to work).
  • People whose liver is functioning at a level rated as Class A (good liver reserve) or Class B (moderately impaired liver reserve) on a standard liver health scoring system.
  • People whose blood test results show that their organs are working well enough — including blood cell counts, kidney function, liver enzyme levels, and heart function — and who have no severe conditions that would prevent them from tolerating the trial treatments (confirm with trial site for specific values).
  • People who have been fully informed about the trial's purpose, risks, and potential benefits, and have signed a consent form agreeing to participate.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have had another type of cancer in the past.
  • People whose cancer has come back in the breast or chest wall, or has spread to the brain, to multiple bones with a risk of fracture, or to organs other than the liver.
  • People whose tumours take up 70% or more of the total volume of their liver.
  • People with a history of heart failure (beyond the mildest category), heart attack, unstable chest pain (angina), stroke, or a serious heart rhythm problem that is not well controlled.
  • People with an active infection or certain immune system conditions, including active tuberculosis, HIV infection, active hepatitis B or hepatitis C, or autoimmune diseases such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, thyroid inflammation, overactive thyroid, or autoimmune blood disorders.
  • People who have received a live vaccine within the four weeks before joining the trial, or who plan to receive one during the trial period.
  • People with high blood pressure, diabetes, or other serious illnesses that are not well controlled.
  • People with severe, uncontrolled problems affecting the liver, kidneys, lungs, or other vital organs.
  • People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding.
  • People with a history of mental illness.
  • People with a known allergy to albumin-bound paclitaxel, nedaplatin, or similar medications.
  • People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial.
