Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have recently been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), or whose current OSA treatment has not worked well enough
- People who are willing to either avoid starting OSA treatment, or stop their current OSA treatment, for 3 months
- People who are able to follow instructions and carry out required exercises
- People aged between 18 and 65 years old
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently using any treatment for OSA
- People with certain health conditions that mean their fluid intake needs to be limited, such as difficulty swallowing, kidney disease, liver disease, or low sodium levels in the blood
- People with a severe blockage in their nasal passages
- People with a severe restriction of tongue movement (sometimes called tongue-tie)
- People with significant differences in the structure of their face or skull
- People with severe lung disease
- People with severe post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- People with very severe insomnia (serious ongoing difficulty sleeping)
- People with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or above (a measure calculated from height and weight)
