Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have been diagnosed with liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) that is beyond certain size limits — either a single tumor larger than 5 cm, or three or more tumors with at least one being 3 cm or larger, all within the liver and without spread to other parts of the body.
• You have not received any cancer treatment in the 12 months before joining the trial.
• You have previously had a procedure called TIPS (a shunt placed inside the liver to reduce pressure in blood vessels), done to prevent bleeding from enlarged veins or to treat fluid build-up in the abdomen, and this shunt has been confirmed to be working well at a one-month check-up.
• Your liver is functioning at a level rated as Child-Pugh class A or B (a medical measure of liver health — confirm with trial site).
• Doctors estimate you are expected to live for at least 3 more months.
• Your blood counts and organ function meet certain minimum levels, including healthy enough levels of blood cells, liver enzymes, kidney function, and proteins in your blood (confirm specific values with trial site).

Who may not be able to join:

• Your liver cancer is spread throughout the liver in a diffuse pattern, cannot be measured on scans, or the tumor takes up more than half of the liver.
• There is a blood clot caused by the tumor blocking the main or branch portal veins in your liver.
• You have previously had a liver transplant or received any cancer treatment after your TIPS procedure was placed.
• You have medical reasons why a procedure called TACE (a type of liver-directed treatment) would not be safe for you.
• The cancer has spread to your brain.
• You have a known allergy to contrast dye used in scans.
• You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant within the next 2 years.
• You have HIV or syphilis.
• You currently have another type of cancer, or have been treated for a different cancer within the past 5 years.
• You have serious heart, kidney, or other major organ problems.
• You have a significant active infection that is more than mildly severe (confirm grading with trial site).
• You have a mental health condition that may affect your ability to understand and agree to participate in the trial.
• You have taken part in another drug clinical trial within the 12 months before joining this trial.
