  • People who are awake, alert, and able to understand and answer questionnaires and use wearable devices during the study

  • People who have read and signed an Informed Consent Form agreeing to take part in the research voluntarily

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have tattoos or any skin condition (such as vitiligo, lupus, or atopic dermatitis) on the wrist or finger area where the wearable sensors would be worn
  • People who have any known sensitivity or allergic reaction to the materials used in the wearable devices (a smartwatch and a smart ring)
  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who have an implanted heart device, such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, or cardiac resynchronisation device
  • People who are currently using illicit drugs
  • People with serious or unstable medical conditions present before surgery
  • People who pass away before leaving the hospital
  • People whose recovery after surgery is expected to require more than 10 days in hospital
