Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You have been officially diagnosed with fibromyalgia
- You are currently being seen at ULS Alto Ave by one of the following specialist teams: the Multidisciplinary Pain Unit, Internal Medicine (for autoimmune diseases), Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, or Neurology
- You are able to read, write, and understand Portuguese, and can understand what the study involves
- You are willing and able to attend all 10 sessions of the program and all scheduled check-in appointments
- You are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- You have an allergy to dogs or a strong fear of dogs
- You have a history of aggressive behaviour toward animals
- You have a history of cancer
- You have another ongoing condition affecting your whole body or joints that could make it difficult to accurately assess your pain or physical function (confirm with trial site)
- You have an unstable mental health condition or significant memory or thinking difficulties that could affect your ability to understand or follow the study program (confirm with trial site)
- You do not wish to take part, or you decide to withdraw your consent at any stage
