Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma, or HCC) that has been confirmed by a tissue sample, and where the cancer has spread or cannot be surgically removed.
- People whose liver cancer is also accompanied by liver cirrhosis (scarring of the liver), confirmed by tissue sample, liver stiffness testing, or clear signs on ultrasound, endoscopy, and/or blood tests.
- People whose cancer cannot be treated with surgery or local treatments aimed at a cure, or whose cancer has continued to grow after those treatments were tried.
- People for whom a treating doctor has already decided that treatment with atezolizumab and bevacizumab (a standard drug combination for this type of cancer) is appropriate, with or without a procedure called TIPS, before entering the study.
- People who have already received one or two cycles of the atezolizumab and bevacizumab treatment may also be considered, as long as the decision to prescribe those medicines was made separately from the decision to enter this study (confirm with trial site).
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have not signed an informed consent form agreeing to take part in the study.
- People who are under 18 years of age at the time of signing the consent form.
- People who are not able to fully understand what taking part in the study involves.
