Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a man or woman aged 18 years or older
- You have a heart condition called HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) and have previously had a surgical procedure called a myectomy, after which you developed a specific type of abnormal heart electrical pattern (called LBBB) with a certain measurement on your heart tracing (QRS complex greater than 130 ms), and you are considered at high risk of sudden cardiac death (confirm with trial site)
- You have signed a consent form agreeing to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- Your heart electrical tracing does not show the specific pattern required, or your QRS measurement is less than 130 ms
- You already have a different type of permanent abnormal electrical pattern in your heart (called complete RBBB) before the study begins
- You are planned to have a heart transplant or a special heart pump device (LVAD) implanted within the next 6 months
- You are considered at intermediate or low risk of sudden cardiac death
- You had a heart attack less than three months before joining the study
- You are currently experiencing acute (sudden and severe) kidney or liver failure
- You currently have a serious active infection
- You have a diagnosed mental illness
- You have another illness where life expectancy is less than one year
- You decide at any point that you no longer wish to take part in the study
