- People whose high blood pressure is poorly controlled or untreated, with readings at or above 180/110 mmHg.
- People who have raised pressure inside the skull or inside the eyes.
- People who have an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) that is untreated or not adequately treated.
- People who have a known allergy to any of the medications used in this study.
- People who are unable to complete the questionnaires and assessment tools required by this study.
- People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial.
