Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are between 18 and 65 years old and are a patient at an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) clinic with a reduced or lost sense of smell
• Your reduced or lost sense of smell has been diagnosed as being linked to a chronic sinus condition, following recognised medical guidelines
• A smell test called "Sniffin' Sticks" has confirmed your smell loss — either partial (a reduced ability to smell) or total (no ability to smell)
• A CT scan of your sinuses has shown a blockage in the area of the nose connected to your sense of smell
• You are willing to take part and have signed a consent form agreeing to join the study

Who may not be able to join:

• You have taken steroid tablets or similar medicines in the last 4 weeks, or used a steroid nasal spray in the last 2 weeks
• You have a severely crooked nasal passage, a nasal tumour, a current cold or respiratory infection, or hay fever or allergies that are not well controlled
• You have serious heart disease, liver or kidney problems, poorly controlled diabetes, or an immune system condition
• You are pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the trial
• The trial team believes you may have difficulty following the study's requirements, for example due to memory problems, depression, heavy alcohol use, or not following instructions in past studies (confirm with trial site)
