Who might be able to join this trial:
- People with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 28 or higher (a measure of body weight relative to height)
- People who have had a sleep study that confirms a diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), with a moderate-to-severe level of breathing interruptions during sleep (an AHI score of 15 or more)
- People who have not used a PAP machine (a breathing device worn during sleep, such as a CPAP) for at least 4 weeks before the screening visit, and who would not use one during the study

Who may not be able to join:

- People who have been diagnosed with diabetes (other than diabetes during pregnancy), or who have had a dangerous blood sugar crisis
- People whose blood sugar control measure (HbA1c) is 6.5% or higher at the screening visit
- People whose fasting blood sugar or blood sugar after a sugar drink test is above certain levels at screening (confirm with trial site for exact numbers and testing requirements)
- People diagnosed with a specific breathing pattern during sleep called Cheyne Stokes Respiration, or whose sleep apnea is mainly caused by brain signals rather than airway blockage (central or mixed sleep apnea making up 50% or more of events)
- People with lung or nerve/muscle conditions that could affect the trial results
- People diagnosed with Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome or who have too much carbon dioxide in their blood during the day
- People whose body weight has changed by more than 5% in the 3 months before screening (self-reported)
- People who have had, or are planning, surgery for weight loss (unless a liposuction or tummy tuck procedure was performed more than 1 year before screening)
- People who have taken any medication for weight loss, blood sugar lowering, or medication known to cause significant weight gain, within the 3 months before screening
