Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis according to the 2010 international classification standards set by the American College of Rheumatology and the European League Against Rheumatism.
- People who are over 18 years old, mentally alert, and able to cooperate with the study process.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have also been diagnosed with cancer, or who are pregnant.
- People who have had jaw injuries, or who have tooth or gum disease.
- People who have other rheumatologic (joint or immune-related) conditions in addition to Rheumatoid Arthritis.
- People who have other significant health conditions beyond Rheumatoid Arthritis (confirm with trial site for specifics).
- People whose jaw joint (TMJ) problems are caused by something other than Rheumatoid Arthritis, or who have birth-related differences in the structure of the jaw joint, the roof of the mouth, or the tongue, or who have had an injection into the jaw joint within the last six months.
- People who have a language or communication disorder, or an intellectual disability, as some parts of the study require the ability to understand questions and express personal feelings about symptoms.
- People who have physical features that would prevent a flexible camera examination of the nose and throat from being carried out.
- People who have swallowing difficulties that are caused by something other than Rheumatoid Arthritis.
