Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are willing and able to sign a written consent form before any study procedures begin
- People aged 18 years or older
- People who have been diagnosed (through laboratory tissue testing) with an advanced or spreading solid tumour that is one of the following types: non-small cell lung cancer (without certain gene mutations, and suitable for immune therapy), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (that has returned or spread, and suitable for platinum-based treatment), kidney cancer, biliary tract cancer (affecting the bile ducts or gallbladder), liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma), or melanoma
- People whose treating doctor has planned for them to receive an FDA-approved immune checkpoint inhibitor — a type of cancer treatment that works through the immune system — for their cancer
- People whose cancer can be measured on scans according to a standard medical measurement system called RECIST 1.1
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously received immune checkpoint inhibitor treatment for their cancer
- People who are currently using, or have used within the past 28 days, medications that suppress the immune system — with some exceptions for low-dose steroid inhalers, nasal sprays, or very low-dose steroid tablets (confirm with trial site)
- People who have an autoimmune condition (where the immune system attacks the body) that is not well controlled and requires immune-suppressing treatment
- People who have cancer that has spread to the brain or spinal cord and is not currently under control
