- People currently taking medications for sleep problems, or medications that may affect the body's melatonin production (such as beta-blockers, melatonin supplements, or certain antidepressants)
- People with any condition that disrupts the body's internal clock (sleep-wake cycle), or any neurological or psychiatric condition
- People with a serious addiction — such as a diagnosed gambling disorder or severe gaming disorder — though regular coffee or tobacco use does not appear to be an exclusion (confirm with trial site)
