Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are between 18 and 65 years old
- People of any gender
- People who have been diagnosed with long-term (chronic) insomnia, based on a specific set of recognised medical guidelines (DSM-IV-TR)

- People who have been diagnosed with another sleep condition, such as restless legs syndrome, periodic limb movement disorder, a body-clock sleep disorder, narcolepsy, or unusual behaviours during sleep (parasomnias)
- People who are currently experiencing thoughts of suicide
- People who have done shift work or travelled across multiple time zones in the two weeks before joining
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who consume very high amounts of caffeine
- People with a history of drug or alcohol misuse
- People living with a serious ongoing health condition, or whose existing health condition has recently worsened in a way that would prevent them from taking part
