Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 45 years or older who have pain in a hip or knee joint that is related to activity, and whose morning stiffness in that joint lasts no longer than 30 minutes (or no morning stiffness at all), as assessed through a questionnaire based on recognised clinical guidelines for osteoarthritis
- People who have had pain in the affected hip or knee joint for at least 3 months
- People who have access to a smartphone with an internet connection and an email address
- People who are willing and able to give informed consent and to take part in all study assessments and procedures
- People who can read and understand Dutch at an everyday, practical level (B1 level)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a systemic form of arthritis affecting the whole body, such as rheumatoid arthritis or gout
- People who are scheduled to have surgery on a hip or knee joint within the next 12 months, or who have had a total hip or total knee replacement in the past 12 months
