Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 28 or higher (a measure of body weight relative to height)

  • People diagnosed with Cheyne-Stokes breathing, or a type of sleep apnea where 50% or more of breathing events are central or mixed in nature (meaning the brain or a combination of factors, rather than a blockage, is causing them)
  • People with lung or nerve/muscle diseases that could affect the trial results
  • People diagnosed with Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome or with abnormally high carbon dioxide levels in the blood during the day
  • People whose body weight has changed by more than 5% in the 3 months before screening (self-reported)
  • People who have had, or are planning to have, weight-loss surgery (except liposuction or tummy tuck surgery performed more than 1 year before screening)
  • People who have taken medication for weight loss, blood sugar control, or medication known to cause significant weight gain within the 3 months before screening
