Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 55 years old (for healthy volunteers) or between 18 and 75 years old (for patients), and weigh no more than 120 kg
- Your Body Mass Index (BMI — a measure based on height and weight) is between 18 and 30
- If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test
- You are willing to avoid drinking alcohol for 24 hours before each study visit
- You are a non-smoker, an ex-smoker, or someone who smokes no more than 5 cigarettes per day
For one part of the trial (Part B) only, you must also:
- Have been diagnosed by a doctor with chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps for at least 12 months before joining
- Have a symptom score of 30 or above on a standard sinus symptom questionnaire at two separate check-ins
- Have used steroid tablets or injections in the past 24 months, or have a medical reason why you cannot take them
- Have been diagnosed with asthma (confirm with trial site), with your condition stable and on a certain level of asthma treatment for at least 6 weeks before the trial
Who may not be able to join:
- You have tested positive for HIV, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C
- You have a weakened immune system, an autoimmune disease, or a history of cancer, or conditions that make infections more likely
- You have a history of serious problems affecting your metabolism, skin, liver, kidneys, or blood
- Your blood test results show abnormal levels, such as low blood counts, abnormal liver or kidney function
- You test positive for drugs or alcohol, or have abnormal blood pressure, heart rate, or other vital signs at check-in
- Your heart tracing (ECG) shows abnormal results
- You have had problems with drug or alcohol misuse in the past 2 years
- You have a history of severe allergic reactions
For Part B of the trial only, you may also not be able to join if:
- You have had surgery on your sinuses or nose (including removal of polyps) within the last 6 months, or have had 2 or more such surgeries in the past
- You have another nasal or sinus condition that could affect the study results (confirm with trial site)
- You have a serious or unstable heart or cardiovascular condition
- You have had a significant infection recently (confirm with trial site)
