Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Children between 5 and 10 years old
  • Children who have not received any sedation or anaesthetic medication through a drip in the past 12 hours
  • Children who are expected to stay in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for at least 48 to 72 hours

  • Children with a long-term lung or breathing condition
  • Children with a long-term heart or cardiovascular condition
  • Children who have surgical implants
  • Children with osteoporosis (a condition affecting bone strength)
  • Children with a diagnosed sleep disorder
  • Children who are currently using sleep medication
  • Children with any physical or mental health condition that prevents them from communicating
