Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children who have severe to profound hearing loss that was present from birth or before they learned to speak
- Children who received a cochlear implant between 8 and 24 months of age
- Children who are at least 24 months (2 years) past their implant surgery
- Children whose parents or legal guardians have agreed to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- Children whose hearing loss is getting worse over time (progressive hearing loss)
- Children who have been found to have serious neurological (brain or nervous system) conditions, identified through brain scans (MRI) or specialist assessment
- Children who have been diagnosed with, or are suspected of having, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
