For people with Schizoaffective Disorder (SAD):
- People who have been diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder according to current psychiatric diagnostic standards (DSM-5-TR)
- People who are currently experiencing an acute manic episode
- People who have not taken any psychiatric medication for at least one month before being admitted to the study
- People aged 18 years or older and under 65 years old

- People who have an immune system or other body-wide illness
- People who have a primary psychiatric diagnosis other than Schizoaffective Disorder
- People who use alcohol, drugs, or other substances
For people joining as a Healthy Control:
