Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Men between the ages of 40 and 65 who are sexually active

  • People with known long-term inflammatory conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, certain connective tissue diseases, or a type of liver disease related to metabolism
  • People with significantly reduced kidney function or liver function outside of acceptable ranges (confirm with trial site for exact values)
  • People with chronic heart failure
  • People with a diagnosed mental illness
  • People with alcohol dependency or drug addiction
  • People who have been regularly taking steroid medications (glucocorticoids) or anti-inflammatory painkillers (such as ibuprofen) for most of the 3 months before joining
  • People currently participating in another clinical trial, or who have participated in one within the 30 days before giving consent to join this study
  • People who are unable to understand what the study involves or to give their consent to participate
