Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with either Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) or Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), with no other risk factors linked to their condition.
- People with CKD whose kidneys are functioning at a specific reduced level (stages III or IV of the disease) and who are not currently on dialysis; or people with RA whose disease activity score shows a level of 2.6 points or higher (confirm with trial site).
- People who have a doctor's certificate confirming that physical activity is safe for them.
- People who are covered by the French social security system, or are a dependant of someone who is.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose corticosteroid (steroid) medication is not yet stabilised, or who are taking more than 10mg of prednisone per day.
- People with high blood pressure that is not currently under control.
- People who are pregnant.
- People whose cognitive or mental functioning makes it difficult to understand or follow an exercise programme.
- People who are unable to do physical exercise for any reason, including neurological, heart, lung, or musculoskeletal conditions.
- People who do not have full legal capacity to make their own decisions.
- People whom the trial team considers unlikely to engage consistently with the study.
- People who do not have health insurance.
- People who are currently participating in another clinical study that could affect inflammation or the cardiovascular system, and whose exclusion period from that study has not yet ended.
