Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have had pain in the upper trapezius muscle (the muscle running from the neck to the shoulder) for at least 3 months
• People whose current pain rates at 4 or higher on a scale of 0 to 10
• People who have been clinically diagnosed with myofascial pain (muscle-related pain) in the trapezius muscle
• People between the ages of 18 and 55
• People who are able to follow spoken instructions and have no difficulties with thinking or memory

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have had injection treatments in the neck or shoulder area within the last 3 months
• People who have received physiotherapy or physical therapy within the last 3 months
• People who have been regularly taking anti-inflammatory medications or muscle relaxants within the last month
• People who have had surgery on the affected neck or shoulder side at any point
• People who have a chronic (long-term) inflammatory disease
• People who currently have an active infection
• People with a history of cancer
• People who have a blood clotting or bleeding disorder
• People who are pregnant
• People who have liver or kidney disease or conditions
• People who have a known allergy to any medications
