Who may be able to join
- People who have been diagnosed with breast cancer (stage I to IV) confirmed through laboratory testing of tissue or cell samples.
- People aged between 18 and 75 years.
- People experiencing joint pain that has been linked to their hormone-blocking (endocrine) therapy, whether in one area or throughout the body, lasting for at least 1 week.
- People who have finished all planned surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment, and are due to continue their hormone-blocking therapy for at least another year.
- People who rate their worst joint pain in the past week as 3 or higher on a scale of 0 to 10.

Who may not be able to join

- People who have cancer that has spread to the bone at the same joint where the joint pain is occurring.
- People who have had a bone fracture or surgery involving the affected joint within the past 6 months.
- People who have an electronic medical device implanted in their body (such as a pacemaker).
- People for whom acupuncture may not be safe, including those with bleeding or clotting problems, or who have skin damage or lesions at the areas of the body where acupuncture needles would be placed.
