Who may be able to join
- Women aged 18 to 70 years old who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and have not yet received any treatment for it.
- People whose breast cancer has been confirmed by laboratory testing of tissue, and whose cancer is either early-stage or locally advanced (but not spread to distant parts of the body), with cancer that has been confirmed to be present in the underarm lymph nodes through a needle biopsy.
- People who are willing to complete a full course of pre-surgery treatment (called neoadjuvant therapy) lasting 6 or 8 cycles, and whose underarm lymph nodes show no signs of cancer on ultrasound after that treatment is finished.
- People who are willing to undergo a specific surgical procedure involving the underarm lymph nodes that uses a blue dye called methylene blue to guide the surgery (confirm with trial site).
- People who agree to take part in the study voluntarily and sign a consent form.
