Who might be able to join this trial:
- Women between 18 and 70 years of age
- People scheduled for planned (non-emergency) breast cancer surgery
- People whose overall health before surgery falls within a certain accepted range, as assessed by the anaesthesia team (known as ASA physical status I to III — confirm with trial site if unsure what this means)
- People who are able to understand and fill out a standard sleep quality questionnaire called the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index

- People with a history of a long-term inflammatory condition or an autoimmune disease
- People who have used steroid medications or drugs that suppress the immune system at any point in the past 6 months
- People who have already been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome
- People whose cognitive (thinking or memory) difficulties would prevent them from completing the study questionnaire
- People whose surgery is classified as an emergency procedure
- People who do not wish to take part or who have not provided written informed consent
