Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with primary fibromyalgia according to the 2016 criteria set by the American College of Rheumatology

- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People with known allergies to the treatment ingredients used in the trial
- People whose severe pain is caused by another condition, such as diabetic nerve pain or post-shingles nerve pain
- People who have recently taken part in another clinical trial for the same condition
- People who are male, right-handed, or have any medical reasons that make MRI scanning unsafe — this group will not have MRI scans as part of the trial. Reasons that may make MRI unsafe include: a history of brain tumours, stroke, epilepsy, head injury, or multiple sclerosis; certain implanted devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, cochlear implants, or nerve stimulators; metal objects in the body such as dentures, metal fragments near the eyes, or shrapnel in certain areas; or claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces)
