Who may be able to join
- People who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease according to a standard international classification system (ICD-10)
- People who are able to understand what the study involves and agree in writing to take part
- People who have early-onset Alzheimer's disease
- People who are older than 50 years of age
- People who have been on a stable Alzheimer's medication for at least 3 months without changes

- People who have a very early or pre-diagnosis stage of Alzheimer's disease (sometimes called prodromal Alzheimer's)
- People diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), which is a mild level of memory or thinking difficulties that has not yet reached a dementia diagnosis
- People with serious mental health conditions that could affect their ability to take part in the study
- People whose medication has been changed recently or is not yet stable
- People who have another brain or nervous system disease in addition to Alzheimer's
- People with long-term health conditions that are not well controlled and could raise the risk of complications
- People who have previously had radiation treatment to the brain
- People whose MRI brain scan shows signs of blood vessel-related changes to thinking and memory, based on specific scoring measures (confirm with trial site)
- People with a current or past cancer diagnosis (other than certain skin cancers) where the cancer has been in remission for less than 5 years
- People who have had a significant problem with alcohol or drug dependence within the last 12 months, based on standard diagnostic guidelines
- People who have had an active infection or bleeding in the brain within the last 3 months
- People whose immune system is weakened or not working properly
- People who have a history of seizures (fits)
- People who have a skin condition affecting the scalp
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study period
- People who have a history of cancer, except for certain non-melanoma skin cancers
- People who are currently taking anti-seizure medication
- People who are unable to give informed consent themselves, and whose legal representative is also unable to do so on their behalf
- People who have a history of localised neurological problems (except for a specific type of nerve sensitivity issue affecting vibration sensation in the hands or feet)
