- People with certain active infections, including specific forms of hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, or syphilis, as detected by blood tests.
- People who have an active infection — bacterial, viral, fungal, or parasitic — that the trial doctor considers significant.
- People whose heart rhythm test (ECG) shows a measurement called QTcF above 450 ms for males or above 470 ms for females, or any other significant heart rhythm abnormality the trial doctor considers a concern.
- People who have had severe or poorly managed heart, lung, digestive, urinary, blood, hormonal, or neurological conditions (other than Alzheimer's disease) in the six months before the screening visit.
- People who have had an active peptic ulcer, inflammatory bowel disease, or another serious gut condition affecting how medication is absorbed in the six months before screening, or who have had gastrointestinal bleeding, a perforation, or gut surgery in the past five years (not including appendix removal, polyp removal, or haemorrhoid surgery).
- People who have been diagnosed with a malignant (cancerous) tumour in the three years before screening, with some exceptions for certain cured or surgically removed skin cancers (confirm with trial site).
- People who have taken part in another clinical trial within three months before being assigned to a study group, although participation in an observational study with no interference may be allowed at the trial doctor's discretion.
- People who have had a problem with alcohol or drug misuse in the year before the screening visit.
- People with a history of severe allergic reactions to medications, or allergies to multiple medications.
- Women who are currently breastfeeding.
- People the trial doctor considers unsuitable for the study for any other reason.
