Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia based on standard medical criteria, including having widespread pain in at least 4 out of 5 body regions (not counting jaw, chest, or abdominal pain) for at least 3 months, with symptom scores meeting specific thresholds (confirm with trial site).

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have an immune system disorder or another condition that could explain their fibromyalgia symptoms, such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, other autoimmune diseases, neurological disorders, or cancer.
• People who have an unmanaged serious health condition such as heart disease, kidney disease, or liver disease.
• People who have skin conditions (such as psoriasis or allergic skin reactions) in the areas where the device electrodes would be placed.
• People who have metal implants in the head, a history of head injuries, or electronic medical devices such as a cochlear implant or pacemaker.
• People who have had any form of brain stimulation treatment in the past 6 months.
• People who have a personal or family history of epilepsy.
• People who have a significant brain or neurological condition, structural brain abnormality, or who have had a stroke affecting relevant brain areas.
• People who have used drugs or alcohol heavily in the 3 months before the trial or plan to do so during it (nicotine is excluded from this criterion).
• People who have had changes to their medication in the month before starting the trial.
• People who are currently involved in legal proceedings or awaiting litigation during the trial period.
• People who are pregnant.
