Who may be able to join
- People aged 55 years or older.
- People who have had a brain MRI scan available from a previous appointment (if the scan is more than 6 months old or not suitable, a new scan will be arranged).
- People who are able to tolerate a PET scan and are willing and able to follow all the steps required by the study.

Who may not be able to join
Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.
- People who have a significant psychiatric condition other than depression.
- People whose brain MRI shows structural problems (such as a large stroke or growth) that could interfere with reading the PET scan results.
- People with a significant history of alcohol or substance misuse or dependence in the past 5 years.
- People who have had a nuclear medicine imaging procedure or treatment using a radioactive substance (unrelated to this study) within 7 days before the PET scan.
- People who are currently taking an experimental medication or have taken part in another experimental drug trial within the last 30 days.
- People who have serious health conditions (cancer-related or otherwise) that, in the study doctor's opinion, could affect the goals of the study.
- People who have conditions that affect how the immune system works, including known inflammatory or immune disorders, cancer affecting the whole body, or long-term viral infections, which could interfere with the imaging results.
- People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding (all participants who could potentially become pregnant will be asked to take a pregnancy test at the start of the study and on the day of the PET scan).
- People who have previously received a stem cell transplant from another person, or a solid organ transplant.
- People who have been diagnosed with myelodysplasia syndrome or a history of lymphoproliferative disease before joining the study (confirm with trial site).
- People who have an active autoimmune disease affecting the whole body.
- People who report a history of uncontrolled fear of enclosed spaces (claustrophobia).
- People who have taken part in another research study that involved a PET scan done for research purposes within the last 12 months.
- People whose body weight is more than 240 kg (529 pounds).
- People who have recently used medications that contain guanosine or cysteine-like compounds (confirm with trial site).
- People considered unsuitable for the study for any other reason, as determined by the lead study doctor.
