Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have stable chest pain (angina) or are suspected of having coronary heart disease (a condition affecting the blood vessels of the heart).
- People who are already scheduled to have a coronary angiography (a procedure that takes images of the heart's blood vessels) along with a pressure-based blood flow test.
- People whose target heart vessel shows either less than 50% blockage, or between 50–90% blockage with a blood flow pressure reading (called FFR) above 0.80, indicating the blockage is not severely restricting blood flow.
- People who have given their written agreement (informed consent) to take part in the trial.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose heart or circulation is currently unstable, such as those experiencing a heart attack, heart failure shock, or a serious irregular heartbeat.
- People for whom an angiography procedure would not be safe, such as those with severe kidney failure (confirm with trial site for other contraindications).
- People for whom adenosine (a medication used during the blood flow test) would not be safe, such as those with severe asthma or certain serious heart rhythm conditions affecting the electrical signals between the upper and lower chambers of the heart.
- People with a life expectancy of less than one year, or people who are pregnant.
- People whose target heart vessel is not suitable for the procedure — for example, if it is the left main artery, is severely twisted or curved, or has a blockage greater than 90%.
