Who may be able to join

  • People who have a confirmed diagnosis (from a tissue sample) of HER2-positive breast cancer or triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) that has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic disease).
  • People who are able to undergo a lumbar puncture (a procedure to collect fluid from the spine) and a brain MRI scan.
  • Women aged 18 years or older.
  • People whose kidneys are working well enough, based on blood test results that meet the trial's specific thresholds (confirm with trial site).
  • People who are able to understand and are willing to sign a written consent form agreeing to take part in the trial.

Who may not be able to join

Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.

  • People who have been previously diagnosed with, or currently have, cancer that has spread to the brain or the lining around the brain and spinal cord (detected by MRI).
  • People with a history of any other invasive cancer, except for skin cancers that were fully removed by surgery.
  • People who are pregnant.
