- You are 18 years old or younger.
- For most study groups: you have a hearing threshold of 20 dB HL or higher based on behavioral or pure-tone hearing tests, or a hearing test called air-conduction ABR shows a threshold of 35 dB nHL or higher (confirm with trial site).
- For the normal-hearing control group: you have been diagnosed as having normal hearing by an experienced doctor.
