Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are currently receiving any treatment for a mental health condition, including medication or professional therapy
  • People who have used any cannabinoid products in the past 3 months, including CBD oil, medicinal cannabis, or recreational cannabis or THC
  • People who have ever experienced psychosis in their lifetime, have a parent or sibling who has experienced psychosis, or have a history of a substance use disorder that required professional treatment
  • People who have used cannabis at least once a month for more than 12 months
  • People who are currently experiencing insomnia or have an irregular sleep pattern, such as night shift workers
  • People who have certain sleep conditions that make sleep restriction unsafe, including sleep apnoea, a sleep movement disorder, insomnia, or night shift work
  • People who drink more than 4 cups of coffee per day, or the equivalent amount of caffeine from other sources
  • People who the study team believes are unlikely to be able to complete all study procedures for any reason
  • People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who are currently trying to become pregnant
  • People who test positive for drugs, alcohol, or pregnancy on the day of an experimental visit
