Who may not be able to join

- People who have a serious brain or nervous system condition, other than Alzheimer's disease, that affects thinking ability or their ability to participate in the study.
- People who have a serious or unstable illness affecting the heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, hormones, blood, or mental health, or whose life expectancy is less than 24 months.
- People who have medical conditions that make surgery unsafe, including serious blood clotting disorders, a heart attack or respiratory failure in the past 30 days, significant liver damage, or severely reduced kidney function (confirm with trial site for specific test values).
- People who have a serious primary mental health condition, other than Alzheimer's disease, that would interfere with cognitive testing or evaluating the treatment's effects.
- People who have had bleeding in the brain or a serious head injury within the past year.
- People who have had problems with alcohol or drug misuse or dependence within the past year.
- People who have a known allergy to any of the following substances used in the study: indocyanine green, gadolinium contrast agent, or the imaging agents 18F-florbetapir or 18F-flortaucipir.
- People who are unable to undergo PET scan imaging for any reason.
- People who the trial investigators consider unsuitable for the study for any other reason.
