- People who have certain other neurological conditions recorded at the start of the study that may independently cause serious memory or thinking problems, such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, a brain tumour, or normal pressure hydrocephalus.
- People whose electronic medical records are missing key baseline information needed for the study's risk analysis.
- People whose follow-up records are incomplete or where the development of dementia cannot be clearly confirmed through the medical record system.
- People who have declined to take part in the study or who have withdrawn their consent.
