Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes
- People who have been diagnosed with gastroparesis (a condition where the stomach empties more slowly than normal), confirmed by a 4-hour stomach emptying test showing more than 10% of food still remaining in the stomach after 4 hours — and this test must have been done before joining the study
- People who are currently experiencing at least moderate symptoms of gastroparesis
Who may not be able to join:
- People with severe depression or severe anxiety, as identified through a screening questionnaire
- People with active inflammatory bowel disease
- People who have had abdominal surgery within the last 3 months
- People with serious ongoing health conditions — such as advanced heart or lung disease — that could make it difficult to take part in a yoga-based program
- People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding (based on self-report)
- People who have been practising yoga more than once a week in the last 6 months
- People who are currently receiving treatment for any type of cancer
