- People who are currently misusing drugs or alcohol
- People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial involving a drug, device, or biological treatment, or who have done so within the past 30 days (any exceptions would need to be approved by the trial's Principal Investigators)
- People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
- People who have physical limitations unrelated to Parkinson's disease that could affect movement-based assessments
- People who have previously had a craniotomy (a surgical procedure to open the skull)
- People who have previously had brain surgery
- People who are unable to communicate effectively with the study team due to severe speech difficulties
- People who experience excessive drooling
- People whose hairstyle would prevent an EEG cap (a device placed on the head to measure brain activity) from being fitted properly
- People who have abnormal sensation in their fingertips
- People who have nasal (nose) problems unrelated to loss of smell
