Who may be able to join

  • The decision to start taking Rybelsus was made by the patient (or their legal representative) and their doctor before and separately from any decision about joining this study.
  • The person has type 2 diabetes and their doctor has decided to start them on Rybelsus based on its approved use in Korea.
  • The person has given written consent to participate before any study-related activities take place.
  • The person is male or female and is 19 years of age or older at the time of signing the consent form.

Who may not be able to join

Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.

  • People who are currently taking or have previously taken Rybelsus.
  • People who are known or suspected to have an allergy or sensitivity to Rybelsus or any of its ingredients.
  • People who have previously participated in this same study (meaning they have already signed a consent form for it).
  • Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, planning to become pregnant, or who are able to become pregnant but are not using an adequate form of contraception as required under Korean regulations or practice.
  • People who, due to mental capacity, unwillingness, or language barriers, are unable to adequately understand or cooperate with the study.
  • People who have a personal or family history of a condition called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 2 (MEN 2) or Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma (a type of thyroid cancer).
