Who may be able to join
- People aged 50 to 68 years old (inclusive) at the time of signing the consent form, either male or female.
- People who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease using a specific set of recognised diagnostic guidelines (the Movement Disorder Society criteria), meeting the definition of "clinically probable" Parkinson's disease.
- People with a moderate level of Parkinson's disease, based on specific clinical rating scales assessed by the study doctor when the person is in an "off" state (when medication is not working well).
- People whose Parkinson's disease symptoms are not well enough controlled by their current oral Parkinson's medications, meaning they experience both "on" periods (when medication works) and "off" periods (when it does not), as assessed by the study doctor.
- People who were diagnosed with Parkinson's disease more than 5 years ago but no more than 12 years ago at the time of signing the consent form.
- People considered a possible future candidate for a cell therapy transplant procedure, as determined by the study doctor.
- People whose life expectancy is assessed by the study doctor as greater than 7 years.
Who may not be able to join
Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.

- People whose Parkinson's disease is primarily characterised by tremor (shaking), as determined by the study doctor.
- People with memory or thinking difficulties that suggest early or existing dementia, or other significant cognitive problems, as assessed using a specific cognitive test or diagnostic guidelines, as determined by the study doctor.
- People with a significant medical or mental health condition (for example, moderate-to-severe depression or psychosis) or any other illness that the study doctor considers would make participation unsuitable.
- People who have received treatment for muscle stiffness or abnormal posturing (dystonia or spasticity) within the 3 months before the screening visit (note: Botox injections for a localised dystonia are permitted).
